Nearly 40 Project Success' students, mentees and members enjoyed one of the finest Piston Basketball games at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  They watched as the Pistons defeated the Golden State Warriors in a closley contested game.  Special thanks to National City Bank helping to make this outing possible. " Project Success continues to stimulate the youth's minds, while also rewarding them with events that are just plain FUN", says Robert Barksdale, Project Success committee member.  Sharing in the fun were Juan Black and Donquise Ealy, mentees of Bob Johnson and Tom Worford.  "We enjoy this special relationship we have with our Sports Buddies' mentoring efforts," quoted Bob, and look forward to these outings.

Let's Talk Health Events
September 26th Man Up! events were successfully held in Detroit at COTS, Matrix Center  and Michigan Barber School.  These events provided over 150 people with information regarding prostate cancer and its preventative measures.  We had spouses speaking out about how they too can help by encouraging their husbands to get examined.  Mrs Patricia Mitchell introduced her husband, David, a prostate cancer survior, as he shouted ManUp! to the participants at the Matrix Center who listened to message by Lee Williams, of BCBSM.  Members of 100 in attendance, such as Kevin Harrison assisted in the completion of a pledge for one of many who attended.  100 Chapter member Bill Toples, chairman of Health Wellness Committee, stated "we conducted very successful education sessions" at each of our three sites, and " look forward to our commitment with American Cancer Society, Michigan Department of Community Health, and Blue Cross Blue Shield Michigan" .   See ManUp photos
