2010 Oratorical Contest Finals |

Our 14th Annual Speaking with Confidence and Excelllence finals were recently held at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History. Detroit based public and charter schools submitted (23) students for the semi finals and eventually (7) students judged in the finals were awarded scholarships and cash prizes. All contestants spoke passionately about "The current State of Michigan process for funding primary and secondary education is/is not designed to deliver educational excellence for students" The top three winners were, Daniel Bellamy, Aaron Amos and Kristen Dumas of CASS Technical HS.
