![]() Tyrone M. Davenport, Chief Operating Officer of the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History, joined the staff in April 2002. He is responsible for the overall operations of the museum, educational programs, and facilities and security. Mr. Davenport retired from Bank One Corporation as Senior Vice President of Technology Risk Management in June 2001 after 35 years of service. Prior to retirement, Mr. Davenport held numerous senior management positions in the technology field for NBD Bank, First Chicago NBD and Bank One. Mr. Davenport is a native Detroiter, a product of the Detroit Public School System and received his B.S. degree in Accounting from Wayne State University in 1968. He also graduated from the School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin in 1978. Mr. Davenport serves on the boards of the Detroit Omega Foundation and the Board of Visitors of the School of Pharmacy at Wayne State University. Previously he has served as Chairman of the Michigan Automated Clearinghouse, Vice Chairman of the Board of the Detroit Urban League, Executive Board of the Metropolitan Detroit Boy Scouts of America and Executive Board of the Metropolitan Detroit YMCA. Mr. Davenport resides in Detroit with his wife Linda D. Forte, two daughters, Dr. Lynette P. Davenport, M.D. and Simone N. Perry, Detroit Public School teacher and two granddaughters Angela and Aurianna. |
