Norman Howard is the Director of Human Resources at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Howard is responsible for providing leadership and administration of the various human resource programs and initiatives for the Foundation’s U.S. and international staff. He is a business partner and consultant to senior executives in helping achieve and nurture a high performing organization while maintaining a positive and creative work environment. 

Howard was previously the vice president of Human Resources at Greektown Casino in Detroit, Michigan. There his responsibilities included staffing, personnel development,     management and administration of HR programs, development of employment policies and procedures, employee relations and union relations.  He also managed labor contract negotiations.

Howard spent nearly 25 years in progressively responsible Employee Relations positions with various divisions of Ford Motor Company. He worked his way through college after spending four years in the U.S. Air Force.  Howard earned a MBA from the University of Detroit.  Over the years he held leadership positions with several community organizations, including Junior Achievement, Boy Scouts of Greater Detroit, Big Brother & Big sister of Metropolitan Detroit and the Battle Creek Health System Board of Directors.

He lives in Farmington Hills, Michigan with his wife.  Throughout Howard’s life he has worked with community organizations to assist youth realize their full potential as individuals.
