Carlton recently retired after 34 years of employment at Ford Motor Company.
After graduating from Cass Technical High School in 1972, Carlton began his career on the production line at the Ford Dearborn Iron Foundry and studied electrical engineering at Lawrence Tech in the evenings. He was accepted into the UAW/Ford Electrical apprenticeship program, and later became a Master Electrician and Electrical Contractor. Leadership opportunities became available and Carlton served as Electrician Leader and then Maintenance and Construction Supervisor at various buildings at the Ford Research and Engineering Center. Carlton concluded his career at Ford as the Safety Training Coordinator for Ford Land Site Management Operations. His goal was to train everyone to work safely to ensure that employees and Ford Motor Company do not suffer the physical and financial burdens due to injuries in the workplace or at home. Carlton is the owner of A-Plus Electrical Service, Heritage Classic Photography and The Heritage Group. Plans for the future: Work hard, Play hard, and Have fun. |
